Meet Michael Oshima.
Michael grew up in Somerville, MA, outside of Boston, as a big Patriots and Red Sox fan. He spent a year in Japan learning Japanese and re-learning judo on the mean mats of Tokai University. He attended college down the street from his house at Harvard University, and earned a degree in Linguistics – which he still loves to talk about at any time.
Michael has had some interesting jobs: as a dating/relationship blogger, hypnotist’s assistant, and Japanese TV news producer. That last job brought him all over the Americas covering breaking news – but most importantly brought him to live in NYC, his new love and favorite place to be, followed closely by New Orleans, Kauai, and Rio de Janeiro.
Michael now works in content strategy and public relations for a tech-focused agency near Madison Square Park. That means he gets to write for a living, and doesn’t have a job that involves a tip jar!
